Greg Hawkes Performance @ The Magic Room Gallery

Saturday night's show was a great success. Our visuals were very over the top and were based on samples from: Public Access TV, The Breakfast Club, 80's commercials, 70's microbiology videos, Twenty Seven Dresses, Public Domain Archives, The 1983 Robotic Dancing Competition, Fritz the Cat and many other cheesy 80's clips. Nearly all the clips were color keyed to add in a layer of psychedelic pixel scramble. The set was also extensively photographed and a song was filmed. We will be posting a video of the visuals accompanied by Greg Hawkes performance.

Chromakeyed Bananas

It has been a long night working on new visuals for the
Greg Hawkes set. We have been sampling everything from bad ninja movies to 80's German TV shows. What we are trying to accomplish is creating a genuinely vintage experience using digital methods. The original clips are color keyed and layered above digitally rendered scramble. Chromakeyed Bananas is an altered clip from the German comedy/musical show Bananas.

So it begins…

Promo Video

Hello all
! This is the first post of many (obviously). NTSC & PAL are Steven Grisé and Eric Goggin. We are currently in the process of putting together a visual set to be performed live at The Magic Room in Brighton for Greg Hawkes w/ Casey Desmond. The event will be on Saturday, April 3rd. Doors are at 8pm.

Last Saturday we got our start as a duo playing a live set for two original members of Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention, Don Preston & Bunk Gardner. We are very honored to have started this visual collaboration with these two greats!
